Charlotte Metro Candlelight Vigil Will Protest Migrant Camps – Charlotte, NC Patch

CHARLOTTE, NC — Lights for Liberty: A Vigil To End Human Concentration camps will hold candlelight vigils on Friday, July 12, in locations throughout the country, including 24 events in North Carolina, according to the group’s website. The goal of the vigils, according to the Lights for Liberty, is to protest the inhumane conditions of migrant camps along the U.S. southern border. Key events are planned in El Paso, Texas, Homestead, Fla., San Diego, Calif.; New York City; and Washington, D.C.

In Charlotte, a vigil will be held at New Outreach Christian Center, located at 3900 Gossett Avenue beginning at 7 p.m.

Here’s what organizers say about the event:
“In conjunction with our friends, the New Outreach Christian Center, we’re pleased to announce our LightsForLiberty vigil, his Friday night at 7:00 PM to show support, solidarity, and love for immigrants being held under brutal conditions at our Southern Border.”
